The United States has raised alarms regarding Iran’s preparations for a potential missile attack on Israel. A senior White House official stated that indications suggest an imminent launch of ballistic missiles from Iran aimed at Israeli targets.

In response to this threat, the US is actively supporting Israel’s defensive measures to counter any possible aggression. The official emphasized that a military assault by Iran on Israel would result in significant repercussions for Tehran.

This warning follows comments from Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who recently referred to the late Hezbollah leader, Hassan Nasrallah, as a “flag-bearer of resistance.” Khamenei vowed that “the blood of the martyr shall not go unavenged” after Nasrallah was killed in an Israeli airstrike in Beirut.

Meanwhile, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have declassified details about military operations aimed at preventing an October 7-style assault by Hezbollah along Israel’s northern border. IDF Spokesperson Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari revealed that Hezbollah has launched over 9,500 rockets into Israeli territory since the conflict in Gaza escalated, leading to the evacuation of 60,000 residents from their homes.

Hagari warned that Hezbollah is planning a larger-scale offensive, dubbed “Conquer the Galilee,” that aims to replicate the October 7th attacks executed by Hamas in southern Israel. He outlined Hezbollah’s intent to infiltrate Israeli communities and perpetrate acts of violence against civilians.

The IDF has been conducting operations to dismantle Hezbollah’s infrastructure near the Israel-Lebanon border. Hagari noted that the group has fortified its position in southern Lebanon over the past two decades, establishing military capabilities and constructing tunnels beneath civilian structures.

In recent operations, IDF Special Forces have engaged with Hezbollah compounds to gather intelligence and neutralize threats. They have uncovered and destroyed over 700 Hezbollah assets, including advanced weaponry believed to be sourced from Iran.

As tensions mount, Israel is ramping up its defensive posture to safeguard its citizens against potential escalations from both Iran and Hezbollah.
